The wait has finally come to an end: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is finally available on the shelves. The adventures of Son Goku and his friends, in this CyberConnect2 Action RPG, are narrated in a different way from the past. The studio has in fact decided to break away from the fighting game genre, offering an experience openworld more complex and long-lived.
And this is not even my final form!
While waiting for the review of the game, we have decided to offer you some simple ones tips and tricks to better prepare you for the adventure. The game setting, this time different from the pure fighting game that the Dragon Ball games have given us previously, it could slightly throw off fans of the series. For this reason, if you want to prepare for any eventuality before engaging in the clashes of the main Dragon Ball Z sagas, we suggest a series of tips NUMBERS to learn some of the new game mechanics.

The first thing that will catch your eye as you take your first steps in the game is the presence of numerous spheres scattered throughout the game world. These spheres are called Spheres Z, and are central to the character growth system. These orbs function as a sort of currency for upgrades, so collecting as many as possible will allow you to access a greater variety of moves.
The spheres are of different colors and are strategically placed throughout the game world. Furthermore, it is always possible to find in the form of a sphere, the Medals D. These medals are fundamental for the development of the character, because they allow us to access the Training Missions, useful for unlocking and enhancing skills and combos. Last but not least by collecting the Dragon Balls, in case you need it, you can ask the Drago Shenron a large amount of Z Spheres among the wishes that the dragon god will propose to you.

In the main menu of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, you can find numerous submenus including the relative one to the characters. In this menu we will have access to the cards of the unlocked characters, their statistics and above all the skill menu. Through the two skill menus it is possible to manage the personalization of the characters that we will find ourselves using during our adventure.
The first menu allows us to access the personalization of the character: we can in fact choose and assign him consumable items in battle, the ability characteristics of the character in question and the transformations accessible in combat. For example, using Goku, we can assign the Kamehameha to a given macro rather than the Energy Burst, or the different levels of Super Sayan to the detriment of the Kaioken.
The second menu, on the other hand, allows us to unlock and upgrade usable skills. The game's attack, combo and skill structure is structured tree and through the Z Spheres (which we talked about before) it is possible to unlock new ones or upgrade existing ones. In addition, through the training missions, it is possible to unlock new branches of the tree.

Although the main story is the centerpiece of the adventure, there are many distributed to unlock every single item and power-up in the game world Secondary Stories. One of the most interesting aspects of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot gameplay is the mechanics linked to the aforementioned Soul Emblems. These medals, depicting the faces of the characters we will meet in our adventure, play a very important role. It is a system through which the player has the opportunity to exploit the skills of individual characters to obtain benefits in different aspects of the game, such as cfurnishing and cooking.
In the special menu, called Community bulletin board, you can manage several groups of well-known characters from the series. For example we find the group of Warriors Z, centered on Goku, based on combat statistics, or that of the Adult Community, centered on the Genius of the Turtles that allows you to sell and buy items at a much more advantageous price.
In this section, your culture and knowledge of the world of Dragon Ball will come back to you. By forging stronger bonds between related characters, it will be possible to gain greater benefits from coin combinations. For example, linking Gohan and Piccolo gives the bonus "Pupil and Teacher". Similarly, the link can be further expanded by linking Goku to Gohan for the upgrade called "Father and son".

In addition to the Z Spheres, in the world of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot it is also possible to collect numerous objects, materials and ingredients. These elements contribute, in full GDR style, to the system of crafting of the game. In addition to crafting useful travel items, it will be possible to bring the collected ingredients to Chichi, who will cook delicious dishes for our heroes. By consuming these consumables, the number of which will increase as you progress through the story and complete the side missions, you will be able to obtain some boost that could give you an edge against the most formidable opponents.
Remember that you will need specific ingredients to cook. To find them, use your wits: contextualized in the game world, game can be found in the grasslands, herbs in the fields, vegetables in the plantations and so on. Also, to stock up on resources we will have the opportunity to go both hunting and fishing.
