That is why, below, we present a small tutorial to make your life with video games easier, since we will explain how to extract ISO images from an Xbox 360 disc and save them wherever you want without problems.
What are ISO images?
Video games have tons of files that make it playable and are responsible for forming the different textures, movements, character dialogues and much more. Every little game structure is characterized from being inside these files and depending on the game, the number of files can be more or less.
And, when all these files are compiled or put together in a specific format, we get a file in ISO, a compiled format for game and program files that can be simulated as a disc.
Therefore, when we insert a disc Xbox 360 in our console, it is reading the ISO which is inside the disc as a whole, although obviously all these files that make up an ISO are disaggregated and placed in other places when we talk about the original discs.
How can I extract the ISO image from an Xbox 360 disc?
Obtain an ISO image of a game can be very useful, since depending on the state of an original disc or the need to save everything to a hard drive, we can get the ISO and have our console read it through the hard drive drive.
But, as we said before, the discs have some sort of decoding which makes it not easy to remove the ISO, which is done to avoid piracy attempts. But, if you need to, you can use a program called Xbox 360 ISO Extract, which you can easily find via an internet search.
Once the program is finished, you need to insert the Xbox 360 disc, open the program and select the disc in the " Choose ISO folder "And then in "Destination".
Specify where you want the ISO of your disk to be. You have to keep in mind that this process is efficient enough to put ISOs on an external storage drive for your Xbox 360 to read.
