All in all though, the shape it possesses, that is with the handle inclined with respect to the body, allows the handle to have a firm grip, and still maintain a good grip. It was probably also a choice, over time the rubber tends to wear out.

The high speeds that the heads reach, during operation, generate heat in the piston which tends to overheat, this over time could wear the heads gasket, causing less grip during the range of movement.
