Materials and design | Yale All-in-One Review
The Yale All-in-One looks really nice and pleasant at first glance. It has a semi-spherical shape and is quite compact. It has a flat base, strong enough to the touch, to facilitate its positioning on a surface. At the back, at the top, covered by a cover of the same color as the camera, we find a small recess where the external memory is positioned (Micro SD max 128GB).
The All-in-One is completely white, except in the "front" we can see a black area. Here thelens, microphone, motion sensor, microphone, a small light that will indicate its operating status, a safety light. At the bottom we find the speaker output. The 3m long USB cable is integrated on the back, which can also be used with a power supply.
Quick setup | Yale All-in-One Review
One of the things that impressed me the most about trying and testing this camera was the simplicity of the configuration. We can say that the Yale All-in-One sets up itself. All you need is your smartphone or tablet, the Yale View App and a connection Wi-Fi. First you need to do this but you will have to position your camera in the desired point and connect it to an electrical network. Just be careful to calculate the distance from the camera to the socket, being the power cable only 3m long.
Once you have chosen the place, all you have to do is configure the camera. To do this, simply download the App, available for both systems Android than iOS, from the respective stores, create an account and, once logged in, that's it. Activated the camera you will have to scan the QR code present under the camera and follow the guided procedure.
Great App | Yale All-in-One Review
Another positive aspect of the Yale All-in-One was the App. YaleView is the main pivot, which allows you to do almost anything. With a simple and intuitive design, the latter is able to manage multiple cameras at the same time, so as to have every single corner of our home under control. From the main screen it will be possible to select the desired device, add new ones or access our personal profile.
In particular
Once you click on the image of the device, it will be possible see in real time what happens in the frame, but not only. We can modify the latter by choosing a new angle to frame a larger space or a specific point. It will also be possible to rrecord videos or take snapshots.
From here it will also be possible to select the resolution that best suits our tastes or storage space available. All this will allow us to save space in case of storage with Micro SD at the expense, however, of a less clear and detailed image. We will also be able to make a "call". This is possible thanks to the microphone in to record the various sounds and on the kick drum outgoing that will allow our voice to be heard the interlocutor. Finally, we can also decide to trigger thealarm, in case there is some shady guy nearby, so that he can get away.
Safety
For a more complete home security experience, the Yale All-in-One can be connected to theYale Smart Home Sync Alarm; moreover, controlling them is very easy, just send a voice command with the most advanced virtual assistants such as Alexa and the Google Assistant from the microphone of your favorite screen.
Conclusion and price
Outdoor and indoor cameras have several advantages, and represent an excellent investment for the safety of your home. Yale All-in-One can help you define a solution that meets your specific needs, to guarantee you a home that is always well protected.
In the end I can consider myself quite satisfied with this product. Thanks to the wide viewing angles of the lens, the Yale All-in-One is able to visualize most of the room, albeit with small deformations near the corners of the frame. Overall the experience was quite positive, even if there are small imperfections to improve. One of these is given by the motion sensor which seemed to me not to respond as well as possible to the "solicitations". More precisely, it seemed a bit slow in response times.
All in all, comparing the features with the market price (around 100,00 euros), I can say that this is one of the best products I have tried for this price range.
