Design and build quality analysis | Ultenic AC1 review
1,10 meters high, 28 cm wide (including the base), 25 cm deep, for a total weight of 5 kilos. Has a inclination angle of 140 ° which involves a lowering of the maximum height to 50cm (from the ground).
The new Ultenic AC1 is well crafted, it is above all solid and very robust. It should be noted that its construction is designed so that it is very easy to access filters and containers. In fact, we also have a fairly intuitive system to disassemble the dedicated parts, you can interact with everything that is orange, as they are spring buttons that allow the release of the interested part.
The vacuum cleaner is made of plastic, and is of excellent workmanship, the individual parts are very resistant. In fact, during use it does not emit abnormal creaks. The quick release system of the parts is effective, works correctly, and has never given us any problems. This is thanks to the springs inserted in the release systems which are very strong and allow excellent pressure and feedback. Let's start now from the handle to finish with the roller.

The handle, which arrives disassembled in the package, has been designed not only for the convenience of removable transport, but it has a considerable advantage, in some products of other brands with integrated handle or body integrated with the interaction keys, a circuit failure could occur, having to subsequently replace the entire motherboard with very high costs, in this way it would be necessary replace with less cost, only the single piece.
The handle is inserted with the connection pins you only need to insert it with force until you hear the "clack".

To extract it, just use something pointed, even a screwdriver is enough, in the appropriate hole indicated, to release the internal spring and extract it. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable, there are 3 keys, from which we will interact to activate all the various functions, which we will see shortly in the dedicated chapter of our review.
If we go down below we can divide the Ultenic AC1 vacuum cleaner into two parts, the front and the back. At the front we find the engraved logo of the company, and a container of 1 liter, obviously it can be extracted, and then it can be washed easily.

This container is suitable for the collection of dust and liquids. And inside it features a very high quality HEPA standard filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air filter). This container is highly studied and optimized to work in the best way without dispersion of collected powders and liquids in the circulation. This filter container consists of 2 pieces. As soon as it is extracted from the release button we can see the filter in the upper part, which is housed in its container, in turn covered by a gasket.

Obviously you can open the container, which we can also call "Cage". This allows access to the filter, removing the dirt collected during cleaning, e it is also necessary to replace the filter itself with a new one when it can no longer be functional, present in the equipment. But now, let's continue the review with the analysis of this Ultenic AC1.
Extra replacement filter
Continuing the container has two pieces as mentioned, which fit together, its function is to collect powders and liquids, without dispersing them. Furthermore, this system allows an efficient recirculation of the dirty liquid. Since there is an internal tube that expels the dirt, the foam of any products will be emitted in this container instead.

Let's move to the back instead. Where we start from the part just below the handle, the area where the handle arm is housed. In this area we have a hole already explained above (which is used for the extraction and locking of the handle), just below a button related to language and sound settings (which we will see shortly in the dedicated chapter of our review), even further below we see the battery, which can be extracted via two side pressure buttons.
The battery might seem small, it actually is a little bit, but it was a necessary choice, if they had inserted an Extra-Large battery, the general design would have had to be restructured, making it heavier and even higher, with the related problems, less handling, greater weight and difficulty in handling.

Below we then have the compartment for clean water, where you will also add any specific cleaning products. The compartment has a size of 1 liter, there is a cap efficient enough to hermetically block the liquid.
Water is poured from this vessel, then there is in the final part of the container, a small perforated plate, where a small pump is inserted, with the function of emitting air inside the expulsion tubes, and the result is similar to a "hot tub" to be clear, this system allows you to mix the liquids inserted with the water present, creating a liquid well mixed and ready to use.

But it is not only for this, this system also allows to obtain a more filtered and sterile liquid, thanks to the integrated "sterilization" system for certain cleaning methods.

Instead, let's end up talking about the part dedicated to actual cleaning, that is the base. There are two large wheels, covered with a very strong and resistant rubber layer. The system the body consists of a fairly wide plate, on the top there are two release buttons to remove the top cover, in this way we access the brush, and the integrated system which is composed of the brush self-cleaning block and the motor that turns the latter.
To remove the brush there is a safety lock placed on the side, always pressing the two ends is extracted, and then you can access the brush.

The charging base is smart!
The charging base allows you to store the vacuum cleaner safely. And there are also different areas to insert each single component that is present in the package. Such as the special cleaning brush, the second replacement roller, the battery charger, the housing for a second battery. The base must always remain connected to the current, as it is the fixed housing of the vacuum cleaner, and secondly every time we go back it will load automatically.

Smart because, as I will explain later, it has integrated fans and UV lamps for sterilization. But now, talking about the base, let's continue with the review of this Ultenic AC1.
Focus sul Display
I am now inserting a slide taken from the manual, where all the icons and their meanings are present. The display is clearly visible in sunlight, thanks to its excellent brightness. In the center, the battery life will always be displayed, obviously expressed as a percentage.

There is a dedicated App, but it is not necessary.
If you want you can install an App, downloadable from the Play Store, through a guided process shown in a simple way on the instruction leaflet, allows you to connect it to your Smartphone via Wi-Fi, and will tell you battery status, filter status, general health status of the vacuum cleaner. Nothing that the simple Display present does not tell you. It is a plus, but it is not necessary.

Let's go now to see the operation of the keys, which are simple and intuitive.
“Self-Cleaning of the Brush”: how does it work? What is it for?
The highest fret of the neck (With symbol of 3 drops of water and a roller) has the function of activating or deactivating the self-cleaning mode of the brush. This mode is required for initial and preliminary cleaning of the roller brush. It is activated by pressing and holding the dedicated button for a few seconds, under only one condition, it must be connected to its charging base.
As soon as the guide voice tells us that the cleaning has started, it will perform various operations. The first preparation follows, with the water remaining in the clean water tank (remember that there must be water inside for this function) more cleaning solution (Ultenic provides one with the purchase), it will make the liquid sterile, after which it will perform several high-speed movements of the roller releasing a little water at a time to clean the brush. In addition, the base has gods LEDs suitable for sterilization. They are UV ray lamps with particular calibrated frequencies, a bit like those that were used by law during the covid for example by hairdressers to make instruments sterile between one client and another. The application is similar, but in this case the goal is not just the sterilization of the roller from the various germs that are in our homes, but also the cleaning, indeed, the self-cleaning of the filter. Let's move on with this Ultenic AC1 review.

In fact, among the steps that our Ultenic AC1 will perform, there is also the phase in which it cleans the various water expulsion ducts and pipes, the internal filters thanks to the high pressure, the nozzle of the dirty water container, and other internal elements.
Is it important to do it? Absolutely yes, but you have to make a little note. At the end of all these operations, the drying of the roller will start, through the fans on the base, but the time it takes to dry it is really an eternity, and it will remain a bit damp anyway, you first need to disassemble the roller and let it dry in the sun or at least in the air.
It should definitely be performed as it is essential for the health of the vacuum cleaner of the internal components. But maybe once you have reached that stage of cleaning, you can safely stop, how? Pressing the button again or simply turning it off with the dedicated button.

"On / Off" button, and WIFI: how does it work? What is it for?
The fret is the lowest on the neck (With the classic On symbol), and it works very simply by holding it down. A pressure of a few seconds and it turns on, and the same thing to turn it off.
Always the same key if pressed for a long time, from standby (i.e. when vertically locked) activate the configuration Wi-Fi mode, precisely suitable for setting the Wi-Fi, which we mentioned above.
"Sound" button: how does it work? What is it for?
The sound key is indicated with the international icon of the audio symbol. It is located just above the battery park, in the back, so not on the neck. Recognize the key immediately as even further above we find the lock button for the neck, as I explained above.
Returning to the sound button when pressed once, changes the language of the voice assistant, if pressed for a long time, it turns off the sound completely.
Which could come in handy under certain circumstances, being a sound with a fairly high volume, sharp and strong, as several people have noticed during use. But, once the sound has been deactivated, you will not know which mode is being selected, you will have to rely solely and exclusively on the indications shown on the display. In short, at your discretion, based on the situation.
"Change Function" button: how does it work? What is it for? Here are the operating modes
Let's go back to the handle now, to talk about the function change key (Indicated with a four-leaf clover symbol), which is what you will mostly find yourself using. It is used to switch from one mode to another. We see them in detail below.
I specify that, every time you press the aforementioned key, the guide voice will dictate the selected mode at high volume, and will also guide you in the use, in fact it will remind you if you have to put water in the container or not.
About this, I remind you that in order to work, Ultenic AC1 always needs the container of clean water to be completely filled, or, in relation to what we need to clean. And that, in fact, it will happen that the assistant will tell you "Check roller" in that case you will have to add water to the container.
"SMART Mode"
In this mode, the vacuum cleaner will automatically manage various parameters to ensure always impeccable cleaning in every context. It's called SMART because it's smart.
The base hosting the brush of this Ultenic AC1 has several sensors, these sensors have the ability to analyze the floor, understanding its type, and above all by detecting the amount of dirt present on the floor. Based on all these elements, it will consequently automatically adjust the rotation speed of the roller (or brush), but above all it will dose the amount of water to be released on the brush. And, finally, another parameter that it will automatically adjust is the suction power.
It is the most versatile mode and the one you will find yourself using the most. First of all, the detection function is very important, because it recognizes if it is in front of fine dust, regular dust, grains, thick foods, and this really makes the difference in the suction field. Let's continue the Ultenic AC1 review with the other modes.
"MAX Mode"
MAX mode, as the name suggests, is the maximum power mode. What it is for, we believe it can be useful when you are in a hurry, or when you want the maximum suction capacity under control to manage everything.
This mode will set the suction capacity to the maximum as already mentioned, and the water jet will be at the maximum possible atomization on the brush.. Obviously the cleaning will be better and deeper, as it will be at maximum speed, but it is always necessary to contextualize everything in relation to the dirt present.
"Sterilization" mode
This is a very necessary and useful way. In this mode (as in all other) it is necessary that there is water in the container, but also an anti-bacterial product for surfaces. Once the modality in question is started, it will perform a series of steps, and after which it will produce a sterilization solution (As extensively explained above) and can be used later for cleaning. In fact, the color of the water in the container will also change when the process is completed.
The guide voice will expressly tell you the steps it is about to perform, therefore the liquid preparation phase, the creation phase of the Sterilization substance, etc. etc., up to the point where it will tell you “ready for use”. Very useful function to thoroughly sanitize.
"Water absorption" mode
The latter mode which is really useful, perhaps, I would dare to say the most useful, even if they are all fundamentally. But this one in particular is extremely comfortable as it is efficient and functional. Its function is that as the name suggests, to absorb water, or other liquids.
It does this by means of a slower but stronger rotation speed of the brush accompanied by a reduced water spray. Obviously it only absorbs water, but it does not emit any. Useful for accidental spills of various liquids.
Our Cleaning test! Surface test and battery life | Ultenic AC1 review
Straight to the point, did we like this vacuum cleaner? The answer is yes. She performed excellently in all conditions. She really satisfied us and now I'll tell you about the experience.
The manual quotes textual words; "To be used only on tiles, floor without carpet, vinyl, wood". We obviously tested the aforementioned Ultenic AC1 under these conditions, and although you will only see photos of a tiled floor, we also tested on different surfaces such as a more "rough" floor or Cotto.. No need to talk to you about how it goes on wood, it's easy to play, and it's his favorite battlefield.
Ultenic AC1 has always performed perfectly in all conditions, and has given us a lot of satisfaction.
Ultenic AC1 when in vertical position and locked automatically goes into standby therefore blocks any function in progress and the voice guide signals it, to unlock it we have the "maniacal care of the manufacturer" who designed the symbol of the foot on the left side, it is enough to hold one foot there and unlock it. The functions can then be set both in standby and while it is working.
The filter is super effective and functional, you will see a short photo of what it has collected after 2 hours of cleaning. A very efficient filter indeed. The entire quantity is then emitted into the front vessel.
We ran several tests - you will see in overview some photos of some tests carried out - we tested the suction of small specks like salt and sugar, bigger stuff like cereals and chips. But we also tested the absorption of liquids such as fruit juices and coffee. All always with excellent results even and only with the first 1/2 passes.
We then tested situations of hostile dirt, with resistant stains, and we observed how automatically in smart mode Ultenic AC1 increased the jet of water on the roller and the suction became more powerful., resulting in a clean floor with only 3/4 passes. In short, it is very powerful and absorbs the role of him.

We continue the review of this Ultenic AC1 talking about the handling. The weight during use is not absolutely prohibitive, they are about 5 kilos, which for how well it flows, are imperceptible. It is also necessary to take into account the ease with which it can be handled, thanks to very small and sturdy sliding rollers. By rotating the handle we can "steer" while the vacuum cleaner is running, so as to reach more difficult places.
At the beginning of the article I was talking about the measures and the inclination it reaches. This is one of the few negative aspects, its inclination certainly does not allow you to go under a bed.
But obviously we can't have everything from a product, it is still a vacuum cleaner and floor cleaner. Not a simple vacuum cleaner dedicated only, precisely, to collect dust in the most hostile places, for that there are other products that Ultenic itself produces, this device is much more, and it is a different product.
An Extra note, which however is not mentioned anywhere. I noticed that with the Water Absorption Mode, the passage on a smooth and thin carpet can be really useful as the water emitted is little, and it sucks up all the dirt present, washing a carpet in a few steps and with simplicity. , it does not remain impregnated with water, and the amount of water is so small that it dries immediately.
Battery?
It has an average shelf life for these products. You cannot expect a miracle, the average for these products is not high, which is why companies have started selling extra batteries separately., to be used as a spare, while the other is charging at the same time.
However, we did some tests to evaluate the battery life. And here are the results, 1h 20min in Smart mode, continuous cleaning without interruptions, while, it lowers the duration to just 50/60 minutes in MAX Power mode, always of continuous cleaning without interruptions.
Ultenic is very cautious, and on the site he even puts 45 minutes of duration, it is not clear what estimate it is, on what parameters. I think it is a data extrapolated from the use of all 4 modes continuously and without interruptions, and the data reported is also "prudent" by Ultenic, also predicting the decline that each lithium battery will face over time and aging of the lithium cells of which it is composed. I certainly recommend the purchase of an additional battery, even if it does not seem below average performance to me, and in any case, between one cleaning and the other, there are always those moments in which the vacuum cleaner is placed on the charging base. Ultimately it takes about 3h, 30m for a full recharge starting from 10%.
The fact that you always use water instead is not limiting, in smart mode when there is little dirt detected, the minimum quantity that dries immediately. It is mostly used for faster and more effective cleaning by the roller.
Everything is washable! But pay attention to the filter | Ultenic AC1 review
Once you have finished your cleaning, it is really easy to clean it. I always recommend that you first perform the integrated Sterilization procedure for cleaning internal components, I am not repeating myself as we have already explored this topic above, once the drying of the roller has started you can close it. And wash the pieces individually.
You can wash everything under water with care, once you have put the pieces to dry, before assembling them clean the connection pins well. And before disassembling everything to wash, be careful to remove the filter first of course.
Conclusions and price
So, I won't go into this section much as I have already extensively talked about all aspects of Utenic AC1 in this review.. However, I can sum it all up by saying that this product costs 360 euros, a cost, if we see the average of this type of product, is a cost compared to what it is able to offer, which goes far beyond the simple vacuum cleaner / handheld vacuum cleaner.
This is a product that works as a multi-surface scrubber, and also as a vacuum cleaner. It is also served with an extra brush, an extra filter. But the company offers the possibility (and we advise you to do so) to buy an extra battery as well.
