Build quality and display | Kospet Tank M1 Review

Once extracted from the sales package, the smartwatch is presented in one sporty line looking anything but minimal, it will in fact be difficult to combine it with elegant dresses or particularly small wrists (like mine). However used in the right context and with the right audience it will absolutely make its figure. The credit also goes to the build quality, far from obvious and that will give one feeling of robustness from the first start. The materials, mostly plastic and metal, will fully succeed in their intent to keep the watch alive in any condition of use. To confirm this, the IP69K certified against water and dust, which, in addition to diving up to 5ATM, will allow use in conditions of high or low temperatures. Too bad perhaps for the strap, not of excellent quality, but honest considering the selling price.

Another crucial aspect of the device is undoubtedly the display, a 1,72 ″ IPS panel equipped with good viewing angles and a good peak brightness that can cope with the sunniest days. Also good color reproduction, which will give way to the dozens of watchfaces available on the store to shine in terms of details. The only drawback is the resolution, from 280 × 320, which on such a large display shows a little too much pixels.

Hardware and autonomy | Kospet Tank M1 Review

The beating heart of this Kospet Tank M1 is the RealTek8762DK accompanied by a quantity of RAM equal to 64KB e ROM 128MB, the latter will not allow the installation of third-party apps or music, however it will give the user the opportunity to download and keep in memory up to 10 watchfaces at the same time. The system runs incredibly smoothly, responsively and without any jamming, giving a satisfying experience in any condition of use. The Bluetooth connection to the smartphone is then stable, without involuntary disconnections and which in case of removal will automatically hang up the signal as soon as it is available. To conclude with a flourish apractically infinite autonomy, in addition to the manufacturer's declarations and that with a constant discharge allows you to easily get to 3 weeks of use.

So what is this smartwatch flaw in? Certainly in the accuracy of the sensors, but let's go in order. Kospet Tank M1 has a number of respectable sensors, it measures the heartbeat, the blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure (software through a dedicated algorithm), sleep and keeps track of steps. As far as heart rate and SpO2 are concerned, the watch has accurate measurements, the same could be said for blood pressure, but being an algorithm they are estimated values to be taken with a grain of salt. The same thing cannot be said of footsteps and sleep, where in 90% of cases it presents values totally out of context and out of context. And if for the steps the problem is minor, since very often it has values of 50% overestimated compared to reality and it will therefore be enough for you to divide the result by 2, for sleep the same cannot be said since very often it will also bust by 3. /4 hours. Of course, it is possible that these problems will be solved at a later time through a trivial software update, but in the review it is good to underline this problem.

Software and App Companion | Kospet Tank M1 Review

As already mentioned in the previous paragraph, the software of this proprietary smartwatch allows a smooth and satisfying navigation in the user interface. The functions are then many and range from simple stop / countdown to breathing exercises, through music control and remote shooting. As for the training section, the smartwatch offers up to 20 categories, including walking, running, basketball, football and much more, shame about the absence of GPS, definitely useful in a smartwatch devoted to movement. A little less well for the Spanish translations, which very often lead to confusion during use, an example of this is the item Shake: Open which stands for Vibration: Active.

Kospet Tank M1 will then rely on the app From Fit (downloadable from Google Play and App Store) to communicate with your smartphone. The app is well made, functional and with a good graphical interface. The available functions are not many, however the main ones are present. It will in fact be possible to monitor your parameters, manage the notifications section to be sent to the smartwatch and download the dozens and dozens of watchfaces.

Conclusions and price

So, if you are looking for a flexible and sport-oriented smartwatch, with an aggressive and massive look then this Kospet Tank M1 could be just for you. You will only have to come to terms with a measurement that is not always accurate and a translation in our local language is certainly not excellent, however, thanks to the not too high price, it could just be the right deal.
