It was only a matter of time for the upcoming photos to emerge Asus Zenfone 7. 4 days after the presentation, here is unveiled design and also a large part of the technical data sheet.
Very similar in shape but also in its main peculiarity, the rotating Flip camera. Obviously present and now it houses three sensors instead of the two of its predecessor.
The spoiler version is the one in dark color which, in the points where the light hits it, becomes dark blue. We do not see the front but we deduce that there will be a display that will occupy almost the entire front surface. No camera inside the display, this will be guaranteed by the flip camera mechanism which will act as both a front camera and a rear camera.
Finally we have had confirmation regarding the incongruity of the rumors concerning the technical data sheet. We had reported that both - Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro - had it Snapdragon 865 +. The answer is that only the Pro variant will have Qualcomm's new SoC, while the standard one will have the Snapdragon 865. The answer, by the way, follows a logical thread.
For the memory on board the confirmations are that Zenfone 7 will have 128 GB of internal memory with 8 GB of RAM while Zenfone 7 Pro 256 GB of internal memory with 10 GB of RAM. Both will not be expandable.
The display will be a unit of 6,67 inches in Full HD + resolution at 60 Hz for Zenfone 7, while for the Pro variant the same resolution but refresh rate a 90 Hz. The mystery not yet revealed is whether it will be Oled or IPS. The fingerprint sensor is not in the back, it is not even seen in the side frame so the chances that it is below the display - ergo, Oled - are very high.
The camera will be configured as follows:
- Sony 64MP main sensor;
- 12MP wide-angle sensor;
- Macro sensor for very close shots of 8 MP.
Battery from 5000 mAh with fast charging via cable but the Wireless one will not be present. There will be Android 10, most likely featuring Asus' UI ZenUI 7.
The Zenfone 7 will cost 499 € for the variant with 128 GB of internal memory accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and it will cost 549 € for the variant with 256 GB of internal memory with 10 GB of RAM. These price lists will make it one of the cheapest top-of-the-range smartphones on the market.
