After a few weeks, the time has finally come to see a Motorola device with the new Android version on board. If anyone is thinking of one of its top of the range, such as the Motorola Edge or Edge +, they will actually be disappointed, because the update concerns a mid-range. In particular it is the Moto G Pro.
According to a report published by PiunikaWebo, the Moto G Pro will be the first device to update to Android 11. At the moment, the release would be limited to devices distributed in the UK, as shown by Motorola's official support page for tracking updates and as confirmed by several users. The update includes all the news of Android 11, along with the security patches of January 2021 and has a size of 1,13GB.
Motorola is one of those companies that applies very little invasive customization to its Android smartphones, adopting a practically stock version of the operating system. This very often represents an advantage, that is, the possibility for the manufacturer to update their devices faster than other brands, yet the results do not always go hand in hand.
The company of US origins in fact has not proved to be very fast in releasing the latest updates of the green robot, either for the myriad of smartphones on the market, or for particular internal policies. An example of this is the latest version of Android 11 that has been released for many Samsung smartphones but also from other manufacturers, while Motorola has not yet brought it to any of its devices, but as announced, things could change very soon. .
The update will be released gradually and for this reason, it may take some time before all users can see it on their model. The Moto G Pro is part of the Android One smartphone program and, barring surprises, it should receive two updates related to the Android versions while the security patches should be released on a monthly basis. Almost certainly, therefore, the Moto G Pro will also see the arrival of Android 12.
